Help Shape Play at Southfield Recreation Ground Public Consultation
Southfield Recreation Ground is held in trust for the community, with Radstock Town Council acting as Sole Trustee. As a separate charity, the Trust must follow charity law and currently has minimal funds, relying heavily on grants and support from other sources to operate.
The play equipment, replaced seven years ago, has now largely failed play-inspections and needs replacing. A Town Council grant has been secured, and Trustees propose replacing the basket swing and multi-play unit, while exploring a new multi-bay swing set for children of different ages and abilities.
The BMX track is beyond economical repair, and current funding does not provide a solution. The Trust wants to understand what the community would like to see next, so residents, families and young people are invited to complete the Survey.
We welcome your views.
Any improvements are aspirational at this stage and future improvements will depend on securing external grants, donations, sponsorship, or other funding.
Thank you for supporting Southfield Recreation Ground Trust and helping us plan for the future.
