Planning Legislation
Bath and NE Somerset Council are the Planning Authority to whom you make applications and who enforce planning law. A full list of planning applications and details can be found on their website here
Radstock Town Council is a statutory consultee on planning applications in the area. This means all applications made to Bath and North East Somerset Council for any works that require planning permission are shared with the Town Council.
Planning applications are made for building projects, tree works in a conservation area and for change of use.
The Town council can raise objection to an application if its members believe the plans breach planning legislation. Sometimes the Council will support an application but make comments for the planning officer to investigate further.
If you receive notification from Bath and NE Somerset Council of a planning application which you are interested in, check our website for planning agendas, to see when the local consultation will be heard. You can make your views known to your Ward Councillor or, come along to the meeting.
If you have any questions regarding planning you can find more details here
